Bias Tape
First I would like to thank all of you that have been leaving comments about the website, I sure appreciate the feed back that you have been giving me.
Now on to the matter at hand BIAS TAPE. Like? or dislike? Me I love it! Have been making and using it for years. The Apron business made me rethink my love for the TAPE. In the beginning I thought what have I gotten myself into? So I found the little Bias Tape makers you know the one you feed it than iron as it comes out. They are OK! but I’m still spending way to much time making the TAPE. So while shopping for fabric today with my daughter she shows me this.
Now I still have to fold again for the double BIAS TAPE, My hat is off to you Simplicity It is making my life simpler.
So this cute custom one has not been so bad— It is an Elizabeth
The single sided Bridgette not Shabby uses a lot of tape, now I love this one! I’m doing pictures on Friday will post this one when I’m done along with a few more.
It sure is worth is price!

I’m the oldest sister of a family of fifteen children; I have four amazing children of my own whom have blessed me with nine wonderful granddaughters.
For me sewing has always been a hobby anything that allows me to be creative. I also enjoy crafts, photo collages, cooking, gardening, decorating and photography.
My favorite is making original one of a kind items. I have been making custom pieces for homes sense the early 1980’s from curtains to table ensembles, bed sets to clothes, and art for the wall using whatever is necessary for the coordinating factor. My mother was a master seamstress, she taught me how to make anything with or without a pattern.
Personally I like starting with patterns then I alter to fit my needs or ideas. This saves me a lot of time. I have always been very detail oriented striving for quality. Artists are very strong in my family, my artistic talent comes out in my color schemes, altered styles and detail work.
Have you tried the bias tape foot on your machine? You can use the tape as it comes out of the bias tape maker and then the foot will fold it again and you can apply it so easily and quickly.
Being a very very novice sewer I would be all thumbs with that bias tape maker! But I LOVE the way it looks when done on aprons for accents.
